IRW is proud to welcome Ruth Feldman as our new Program Director.

RuthHaving served as Executive Director of the Project for School Innovation in Boston, MA, Ruth is no stranger to education or non-profit leadership.  She has led strategic planning and organizational advancement activities and brought teams of educators together to learn from each other.  Most recently, she was the Managing Director of the independent consulting firm, Social, Entrepreneurial Expertise & Development (SEED), where she worked with diverse groups and organizations to help them identify their needs and to design, cultivate and realize their vision.  This work easily translates into the kinds of projects she will be running as IRW’s Program Director.

Ruth will lead IRW’s ongoing expansion efforts in Washington County; create programs that excite kids to love reading and learning; continue to develop partnerships and community relationships; and ensure meaningful program assessment and documentation.

Ruth holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology from Hampshire College.  She has been a Peace Corps volunteer and Fulbright Scholar.  She resides with her family in Milbridge, ME.
