Sharon discovered her intrigue for storytelling while studying literature and writing in college, and shared her passion with teens when she was a high school teacher in England and Switzerland. While she was living in England, she wrote novels for adults, but after penning Absolutely Normal Chaos in 1990, she recognized her love for writing young adult novels, and has stayed in that genre ever since.
