Join IRW Presents on Thursday, February 2, 2023 for The Making of the Petra & Mo Show ft. Andrew Simon!
The Petra and Mo Show is an interactive puppet musical written by Andrew Simon. The show began its development in 2018 and has been supported through a number of workshops, residencies, and performances in the last five years. Andrew will present on his experience creating and developing the show, which toured across MDI last summer and will be touring the Midcoast area in July, 2023. He will share his insights on making a new piece of performance for young people and a creative practice that includes work as a writer, producer, and performer.
About Andrew
Andrew Simon is a theater-maker based in Maine. He works as a writer, producer, educator, and performer and currently serves as the Producing Artistic Director of Barn Arts, a non-profit in Tremont, Maine that he founded in 2009. Andrew’s work has been presented at venues across Mount Desert Island, in the Midcoast area (The Strand Theater), Portland (PortFringe), New York City (Cloud City, the Bowery Poetry Club), and his work has toured internationally to Tottori, Japan (Bird Theater Festival).
