Look Up! Community Program & Art Workshop

Join us at the Lubec Memorial Library on Monday, May 22, from 4:00pm–6:00pm for a program with Annette Leblanc Cate, author and illustrator of Look up! Birdwatching in Your Own Backyard.

Annette will give a 30-minute presentation about Look Up!, birdwatching, and her work as an author and illustrator, open to the public. An art workshop will follow where participants will learn about nature journaling, observation, and draw a zine with Annette! Participants in the art workshop will also receive a copy of Look Up!; registration is required.

About Annette

Annette LeBlanc Cate is the author-illustrator of The Magic Rabbit and LOOK UP!: Bird-Watching in Your Own Backyard, which was a 2014 ALA Robert F. Sibert Informational Honor Book. She is also an illustrator for Appleseeds Magazine. From 1995-2002, Annette was a storyboard artist, writer, animator, and Art Director of Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, a TV series.
