When was the last time you read a young adult (YA) book? YA literature has the power to transport us to adolescence, let us look at experiences with fresh eyes, and remind us that we are all perpetually coming of age. This IRW Presents book club series reacquaints adults with some of our favorite YA books.

About Our Book

Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk is told from the perspective of 12 year-old Annabelle McBride, as she grapples with a truly frightening bully named Betty—a newcomer to her small town in rural Pennsylvania—while defending local recluse and World War I veteran Toby against Betty’s lies during World War II. Wolf Hollow was awarded a Newbery Honor in 2017, and Wolk is set to release a sequel in May 2022, My Own Lightning.

About Our Book Club

Join us over Zoom for a lightly guided discussion about Wolf Hollow! Participants should finish the book before joining, or else beware spoilers! This year, we are giving copies of Wolf Hollow to our first 15 participants. To request a copy, register for the Book Club and then send an email with your address to Kelsey Buckley, Director of Communications and Engagement, subject line: Wolf Hollow Book Club.
